Nails, nails, nails! Would you believe I actually haven’t done mine in like — a whole week?? I know, what! These fabulous heart nails were probably my favorite of the 14 for the 14th series, just because they are super easy. And also I love bright red nails. This probably has something to do with my mother never letting me wear the color. I grew up and learned to love everything I couldn’t. EG. I never make my bed. EVER. I had to teach my boyfriend to not make my bed. It is messy, all day, every day, on principle!
These nails were created by painting a bright red base layer and allowing the nails to dry completely – probably a full hour while I did other work. I then took some round labels (any tape would work), folded it in half with the non-adhesive side touching, and cut out a half heart. Unfold, perfectly symmetrical heart! Place that on your nail, making sure it’s pressed down securely around all edges. Add a layer or two of gold within in, making sure to pull off the sticker after 10 seconds or so. You want it to stay on long enough that the nail polish doesn’t bleed (if you’re using a fairly thin one) but not until it dries much, or it will pull between your nail and the sticker, making stringy pieces.
Come on, hot or not?
