Organizing Jewelry: Necklaces (Pt. 1)

Organizing Jewelry: Necklaces (Pt. 1)

Welcome back guys! And by that I mean it’s been a year since I created this “DIY Crown Molding Jewelry Frame” and yet my jewelry recently definitely isn’t organized. Actually, it looks like the below mess. So I spent an afternoon and about $2 to completely turn it around! Today I’ll show you how I cleaned up my necklaces, tomorrow earrings, and finally bracelets.

Organizing Jewelry: Necklaces (Pt. 1)

Great, so first off, this is the mess we’re looking at. I have this old dresser and I just throw anything that I can consider jewelry, make-up, or hair accessories in it, or on it, depending on my mood.

Actually, I made this cool close-up of it! (Ignore that awkward line running through the middle.) Right now I have a bunch of bracelets laying about, necklaces kind of off to the side, and all my earrings thrown into a ceramic bowl so it’s impossible to ever find what I’m looking for… not very functional.

Now that you’re familiar with the situation, this is the good news: all we’re going to do is screw these little guys into the wall and hang some necklaces on them. Seriously. And it’s gonna look good.

I used a small drill bit to create a start for myself, then just twisted these guys in by hand. They cost me like 2 bucks, they’re sturdy, and they’re quick storage for my necklaces! Slam dunk! ;)

Don’t worry, I’m just going to tease you a little. I’ll give you a full view of the set up tomorrow!
