Halloween Orange Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl
  3. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time
  5. Mix in vanilla
  6. Beat in half the flour
  7. Add milk
  8. Add food coloring to preference, about 2 tbsp
  9. Beat in remaining flour until just combined
  10. Fill cupcake liners about 1/2 to 3/4 full
  11. Bake 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  12. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes
  13. Remove from pan and cool completely on write rack before frosting
