Tortellini and Sausage

Tortellini and Sausage

This is a dish that I’ve been making so long that I didn’t even have a written recipe for it. I usually just wing it, although I’m pretty sure the first time I tried it was using a Publix recipe. Today I’m sharing it with you!

Ingredients
  • olive oil
  • 1¼ lbs sausage, peeled & pulled into pieces
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • basil
  • oregano
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package tortellini
Instructions
  1. Lightly coat large skillet with olive oil
  2. Add garlic
  3. Heat skillet to medium, add sausage, then brown
  4. Add basil and oregano to taste
  5. Add jar of spaghetti sauce to skillet
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low
  7. Add 1 cup of water and tortellini
  8. Cook 15-20 minutes stirring frequently until sauce is thickened and sausage & tortellini are soft

Here, it’s served with some butter lettuce. Kristofer and I really love using this for wraps, but it didn’t work well with the pasta. Just an FYI! :)
