To create this beaded caviar nails effect for our 14 for the 14th, you can buy the original from Sephora, get a small kit from another nail brand, or be frugal like me, and just head to your local craft store and buy some micro-beads – it may not cost you any less, but you’re getting like 15x the number of beads, and I think that’s worth it! Have I used more than, like, 1/100th of them? No. But I could!
Beaded Caviar Nails
If you’re not at least a little systematic in how you apply the beads, you’ll find there are small gaps that you can’t fill. If you look at these photos, you can spot them right away. When you’re wearing them, it’s not noticeable.
I read on the Sephora reviews that the beads would fall off after one night, so when I applied mine I put a couple thick top coats on to give it a longer life. I got about 4-5 days out of my beaded caviar nails manicure, but the texture wasn’t as appealing as just beads (held on solely by a thick under layer)! From a distance it looked nice, but up close it seems kind of slimy, am I right?
