Marry Me
Originally rated as a 4.5 out of 5, Marry Me is definitely my favorite new sitcom this year. It’s funny and goofy yes, but it’s also brutally honest about the flaws people have, embracing them instead of demonizing us for our selfishness or incompetence.
Stalker
Stalker, a 4 out of 5 show, quickly became a favorite for Kristofer and I. This series adds just the right amount of creepy into every episode. I recommend that you watch it at night, with the lights off! Plus, it’s my favorite genre: crime, procedural, stand-alone episodes.
Galavant
This musical was so much fun; my biggest complaint is actually how short it was! Galavant is funny, addicting, and ridiculously obvious — it just doesn’t matter, because the enjoyment isn’t from the plot so much as the humor. Originally rated as a 4, I’d give Galavant a solid 5. I loved it!
Jane the Virgin
A CW show, originally rated at 3 out of 5, Jane the Virigin did not hold high hopes for me. In the end, however, Jane the Virgin really clicked with me. It’s a drama, but there are the crimes and mysteries I love, too. I think the strongest point for this show, however, is that the main character isn’t shallow or dumb, like we might expect from a CW show. She’s close with her family, trying to make the best decisions for her life, and despite being in a love triangle, it’s not a case of “I can’t decide which brother is hotter.”
Forever
This 4.5 star show is a lighthearted series that’s easy to watch. Forever wasn’t my favorite new show this year, but it managed to keep my attention all season long. With a little sci-fi, this is the type of show you can watch when you want to have the TV on, but you don’t want to be uselessly engrossed in it. Forever is the kind of show you can watch while you make dinner or fold the laundry, and even if you miss a little bit of it, you’ll still enjoy the episode.
Mysteries of Laura
If you’re looking for a new crime-drama with stand-alone episodes and a procedural plot, Mysteries of Laura is a good choice. It doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. Originally rated at 4 out of 5.

Have you watched any of these? What did you think? Any that you’re looking forward to watching? I’ve got American Odyssey on my list. I’ve been wanting to watch it since last Fall, but by the time it started up this Spring, I’d totally forgotten about it!
