Organizing Jewelry: Earrings (Pt. 2)

Organizing Jewelry: Earrings (Pt. 2)

Day two of jewelry organization! Remember yesterday that I mentioned how my earrings are always just mixed up in a bowl, missing their partner, scared and alone? Well the first step was to take them out and pair them up.

(Which obviously required admiring some of the more ‘fun’ earrings I have!) Step two was to find some way to store them. All my non-stud earrings are already on my jewelry frame, but it would be more of a hassle than convenience to try putting my studs there too. It’s built so I can easily hang most earrings, but studs would require pulling it away from the wall so I secure the backs. What I really needed was the same kind of concept as a stand-up piece rather than a hanging frame.

So here was my compromise. He was free, because I had him on the top shelf of my closet from a Victoria’s Secret giveaway years ago. Plus, he keeps all my earrings in place and looks adorable doing it. (Not to mention ties in the random cat-ring-holder that I think is just too funny and cute.) Now my little bowl is just used for storing earring backs and maybe a few random things here and there.

Which means our whole jewelry set-up is coming along pretty well!

All we need now is some place fancy for our bracelets… ;)
