I’ve been missing any kind of headboard behind my bed for the past year, and I’ve recently come to terms with the fact that all I really want to put in the time for right now is some spruced-up, light-weight canvas. So I’ve been looking for inspiration!

This pasta is supposed to be healthier than using a cream sauce, with just olive oil, breadcrumbs, lemon, and some spices. What I really care about is the breadcrumbs. They look so delicious!

Kristofer and I are excited to try cutting bottles! I never thought about sanding them down and using them as actual glasses, though!

Kristofer just bought us some classy chess piece corks from Target. (You know, off that cheap little section they have in the front?) I’m thinking we’re gonna have to go ahead and upgrade those asap.

There are super easy bowl covers for transferring food, especially perfect for potlucks! Unfortunately, I’m not sure when I’d ever truly need/use these. Soooo they aren’t exactly high on my priority list… All the same, they are so cute!

I love this pin! Not really for any particular reason, other than that it told me you could just buy these crates at hardware stores, and they’re only like $20. I don’t have the tools to cut them, but you can bet I’ll be asking my dad for help!

Help with what? Making it into this! Seeing the size of it (in the pin above), I think it’ll be more of a pet bed. GOOD THING I HAVE THREE CATS! Instant need.

Naked mole rats! (Actually, just a 10 minute old kitten – kinda gross, right?)

Don’t worry, more will get posted up about these soon. :) I’m lovin’ the Dorthy tin, but it’s really just not ideal to carry around, or touch, or move.

Since my father needed a break, and didn’t come visit this weekend, I went to visit my mother, who loves to paint my nails! (Which is so weird, because most of the time I’m turning her down. I feel like it should be the opposite way.) I got some pictures of my fingers I’ll put up, but my gorgeous, matching turquoise toes will just have to be a mystery – I’m definitely not taking pictures of my feet.

And, my most recent picture, Crumpet + crown molding! I’m making a frame for the jewelry over my vanity, and being pretty handy dandy if I do say so myself!

Don’t worry, I figured out the answer right after I took this picture (isn’t that always the case?) I kept thinking “red”, “leaf”, “autumn”… it was “feather”. Playing with my 10-year-old sister is such a challenge, and probably the most fun, besides laughing at my own ridiculous drawings.

I’m super excited about all the fun stuff I’ve been up to recently, including creating uncommonflock and hanging out with Anie & Sara. Plus, I’m borrowing a camera until I get my canon back (ironically, I’m borrowing a higher end Nikon) so I can start taking nicer pictures and doing more fun crafts that I wanted to document properly now!
