Turqouise & Glitter Nails

I have to admit, I really love my turquoise & glitter design! Fatal flaw? It is nearly impossible to get off your nails!

I applied three thin coats of my Essie Turquoise & Caicos, then fairly generous amounts of my Luxe Effects Set in Stone (though again in thin coats). It seemed thicker at the tip, since there was the extra layers, but a top coat really did wonders.

I felt so fancy! My toes are tiny, but I set them up to match – painted them pink with a single toe nail all glittered up!

I’m still pretty awful at not getting nail polish all over my cuticles… but overall better, right?! After a few days, my polish started to chip. :( I didn’t use a base coat because I heard that could lead the chipping, but maybe I should have? I added a top coat layer to the two nails it was happening on, and got an extra day out of them, but then I had to take it off.

The inspiration is definitely more perfect than mine, but I like to think my nails have a little personality!

Today, my co-worker had such fun designs herself! She’d taken the newspaper/acetone technique and put QR codes all over her nails!

What’s next for me?!
